Skate park

For many, Garden is still Görzenál, as hordes of skateboarders and BMX riders spent their youth afternoons there. We had no intention of taking that experience away from anyone, which is why Skate Park has also been given an important role in Budapest Garden.

The First World Skate Certified Skate Park in Hungary

In 2025, a long-time dream came true for Hungarian skateboarders and roller sports fans: Hungary’s first skate park with official World Skate accreditation opened in Budapest Garden. This nearly 1,000-square-meter park offers a new home not only for professionals but also for beginners – a place for training, fun, and even world-class competitions.

The location itself is iconic: formerly known as Görzenál, Budapest Garden has been a legendary meeting point for the extreme sports community since the 1990s. In recent years, it has undergone major upgrades to meet the needs of international competition. The highlight of this evolution is the brand-new, 979-square-meter street-style skate park, designed by the globally renowned American Ramp Company.

What makes this skate park truly unique is its accreditation: in Europe, only one other permanent facility in Rome holds the same certification. This means that Olympic qualifying events could also take place here – a huge milestone for the Hungarian skateboarding community.

In recent years, Hungarian riders have proven again and again that they belong among the international elite. Just think of the 2024 Olympic Qualifier Series in Budapest, which gained worldwide attention. Now, with the new skate park, everyday practice can take place under professional conditions – whether it’s young beginners, enthusiastic amateurs, or top athletes preparing for global competitions.

And perhaps the best news: the skate park is free to use, as long as you bring the right gear and protective equipment. It’s truly a place where anyone can experience the freedom, community, and excitement of skateboarding.
